HAPPY FATHER'S DAY TO ALL DADS OUT THERE! :D
today is Father's Day.
had special service for all the Dads. (:
the drama was so funny, but touching too! ;]
& Pastor Kong shared with us a super touching story,
and i shall share it with everyone. (:

There was once a small, young boy who loved to play Football.
He loved it so much that he would not miss a single practice,
however, he never ever got to play in a single game.

Although he never had a chance to play,
his father would always go to every game he played and always cheer him on.
When he went to Secondary school,
he continued loving the sport and never missed a single practise.
However, he still never had a chance to play a single game,
but his father still continued to come for every match and supported him all the way.

When the boy went to College,
he was still the smallest in his class.
His father told him that he could always play do something else if he didn't like football.
However, the boy was so passionate about football and loved it so much that he continued to play it.
Like last time, he still did not get to play any games,
but his father still came to every game and encouraged him.

Finally when the boy went to university,
he decided to try out for the football team.
After the coach saw him play,
he felt sad for him and decided to let him join the team.
When the boy found out that he could join the team,
he was overjoyed and called his Dad to tell him the good news.
Both father and son were very happy.

The boy trained extremely hard and never missed a single practice.
However, when the season came,
he still did not get a chance to play.
His father still came to his games and cheered him on.

One day, a week before the final game of the season,
the boy received a telegram.
After reading it, he asked the coach,
"Coach, is it okay if i missed practice today because I just found out that my Dad had just passed away."
"of course you can!" the coach replied. "You can even miss practice this whole week and the final game next week."

On the day of the Final game.
it was three quarter of the game and the boy's team was lsoing by 10 points.
Suddenly, the boy appeared on the field,
rushing to the benches.
His coach and teammates were shocked.

Then the boy pleaded with his coach,
"Please coach, let me play!"
However, the coach refused.
There was no way the coach could send his weakest player down to play when their team was already losing.
But the boy persisted,
finally, the coach let him play.
"Just try your best!" said the coach.

When the boy was on the field,
he was incredible.
he ran very fast, and tackled well,
he was playing like a football star.
His coach and teammates were all surprised by his performance.
No one could catch him, nor could they tackle him.
Soon, both teams were tied.

At the last part of the game,
the boy intecepted the ball and ran for the finishing goal which led his team to victory.
His teammates lifted him on their shoulders as they danced around on the field.
They had won the championship for that season!

After the game,
the coach came into the Locker Room and saw the boy sitting all alone in a corner.
He went up to the boy and said,
"You were amazing out there! How did you play so well?"

The boy turned to him with tears in his eyes and said,
"Coach, before my father died, he was blind and could not see me play, yet he came for every match to cheer me on. He always encouraged me. When he died and went up to heaven, God blessed him with sight, so today was the first day my Dad saw me play and I did not want to let him down, I wanted to make him proud."

a story that touched my heart.
